What's your favourite genre of music?

‘80s music and various types of instrumental ranging from Classical to Jazz Rock.

 

When you're not at Epsom Hospital Radio, what are you doing?

I am married with two teenage boys. I am a Paramedic with the London Ambulance. I am also a volunteer with the British Red Cross and have been with them for 42 years although don't do a great deal with them at present. I enjoy playing a keyboard although can't read music.

 

If you had £1,000,000 to spend on yourself and no-one else what would you spend it on?

I would probably have to buy a nice car to start. Would love to buy a campsite in North Wales as I love the scenery up there.

 

What is your ideal holiday destination?

Probably a little boring but I love Snowdonia and the surrounding area. It is a beautiful part of the country.

 

What is your favourite film?

So far the Hotel Transylvania trilogy.

 

What is your favourite TV programme?

Bargain Hunt.

 

Who is your favourite comedian?

Michael McIntyre.

 

Who is your favourite sports team/star?

I don't have any in particular but do admire the Paralympians in what they achieve.

 

What is your favourite drink?

Tia Maria coffee.

 

What is your favourite food?

Pasta with Cheese and Tomato.

 

What inspires you?

Lots of things but nothing specific I can think of. Sorry!!

Weird & wonderful talents?

Play a keyboard by ear reasonably.

 

Most treasured belongings?

My family.

 

Favourite smell?

The smell of records from my Grandparents record cabinet many years ago.

The Last Time by The Rolling Stones.

 

What record drives you mad when you hear it?

The Fugees with Killing me softly with his song.

 

What is your favourite album?

ELO. Out of the Blue

 

Have you met anyone famous and if so, under what circumstances?

Whilst on duty at Wisley when filming Antiques Road Show I was called to a patient with an insect bite on her foot. It turned out to be one of the presenters Hilary Kay.

 

Who is your favourite radio presenter?

Ken Bruce

 

Apart from your current partner, who would be your ideal dinner date and why?

I enjoy watching Bargain Hunt so my ideal dinner date would be Natasha Raskin who is my favourite presenter.

 

If you were marooned on a desert island, what would be the items you'd need most?

A good shelter and enough food for the duration.
